From download to race night

What you need, how the installer works, and how to upgrade or remove Stintwise.

System requirements

  • Windows 10, Windows 11 or Windows Server, 64-bit, with administrator rights for the install.
  • A Steam account that owns each game you want to host (ACC, AC EVO or both). The dedicated servers can't be downloaded anonymously.
  • For AC EVO: a processor with AVX2. Allow about 350 MB of disk per EVO server (each server gets its own copy). ACC servers are small.
  • Network: the web interface uses port 8780 by default (setup suggests a free one). Game servers use ports from a range, 9600–9699 by default, which you can change. Forward each server's ports on your router (the server page lists them) or switch on UPnP. AC EVO servers must be reachable from the internet to appear in the in-game server browser.
  • Optional HTTPS: ports 80 and 443 for automatic certificates, or your own reverse proxy.

Installation

  1. Download stintwise.exe and double-click it. The download link comes with your licence.
  2. Windows asks for administrator permission once.
  3. On the install page, choose the install folder (default C:\Stintwise), the web port and who may reach it through Windows Firewall.
  4. Stintwise copies itself into the folder, registers the stintwise Windows service, adds the firewall rule and opens the setup page in your browser.
  5. On setup, enter your league name, time zone, accent colour and servers folder, create your Owner account and paste your licence key. Setup shows your machine ID, which you send us when buying.
  6. Open Steam, sign in with the account that owns the games (enter the Steam Guard code if asked), and install ACC, AC EVO or both.
  7. Create a server, build an event and press Start.

Upgrading

Run the newer stintwise.exe. The manager switches straight away; each game server moves to the new version on its next restart.

Uninstalling

stintwise.exe uninstall removes the services, firewall rules and UPnP forwards. Game-server folders kept outside the install folder are left in place.

API

Everything the web interface does goes through the same documented JSON API, and each account can create API tokens with its own permissions.

The full reference comes with your licence, or ask us for a copy before you buy.
